- Yes it will, Microsoft is making efforts to make sure old code runs. They need your help! Please test your C++, VB6, and FoxPro and other legacy applications on the Windows 8 CTP and report any problems. Please do this soon if you want any issues you find addressed. Please make sure to provide a reproduction of the issue if you want it seriously considered.

- It was, now it is not so much. Switch to Windows 7 NOW, then enjoy a smooth upgrade to Windows 8, it is long past time.
